Drawings are held at 9:28 a.m. CT (10:28 a.m. ET), 12:28 p.m. CT (1:28 p.m. ET) and 6:28 p.m. CT (7:28 p.m. ET) every day from Monday to Saturday, with one Sunday drawing at 6:28 p.m. CT (7:28 p.m. ET). Here’s what you need to do to take part:

There are four ways you can play – Exact Order, Any Order, Exact or Any Order, or a Combo. If you select an Exact Order play or an Any Order play, you can pay either $0.50 or $1, otherwise it is $1 per play.

Specify which drawing you want to enter – Morning, Midday or Evening. Alternatively, select the Next 2 or Next 3 option. You can also play multiple consecutive days, up to a maximum of seven.

Add Wild Ball

Select the Wild Ball option to add this feature to your play, doubling the cost of your ticket. The total cost therefore depends on the number of drawings, your selected play amount, and whether you add the Wild Ball.

Once you’ve paid for your ticket, keep it safe until the draw takes place. You can mark the ‘Void’ box in any play area if you see a mistake, or cancel a ticket within 15 minutes if sales for the relevant draw are still open. There is a sales break approximately 20 minutes before each drawing, when tickets can no longer be purchased.

When the drawing is held, using an automated machine, the three main winning numbers are randomly selected first. The Wild Ball is then also drawn, helping to create extra winning combinations for those players who add this feature. Go to the Wild Ball page to learn more.

Play Types

The play type you pick makes a big difference to your chances of winning, and also dictates how much you can win.

Exact Order - $0.50 or $1 per play

The aim is to match the three winning numbers in the order they are drawn. You can pick any combination of three digits, even three that are identical such as 111, 444 or 777.

Any Order - $0.50 or $1 per play

You win if all three of the numbers you pick are drawn. The order is irrelevant, so if you pick 123 and the winning digits are 231, you still win as all three numbers have been drawn.

Exact or Any Order - $1 per play

If you select this play type, your $1 is divided equally between an Exact Order play and an Any Order play. This means that if you match every number in the correct position, you win both parts of the prize. If your numbers appear in another order, you just win the Any Order part of the prize.

Combo - $1 per combination

A Combo covers every Exact Order play within your selection of three digits. For example, if you pick the numbers 101 and play a Combo, this effectively gives you three Exact Order plays – 101, 011 and 110. The cost of a Combo is therefore $3 or $6, depending on which numbers you choose.

3-Way and 6-Way Plays

A 3-Way play is any three-digit combination that includes two like numbers and one unique number, such as 101, 223 or 455. There are three ways that a combination such as this can be ordered.

If you choose three different numbers, such as 123, 465 or 987, this is known as a 6-Way play because the numbers can be arranged in six different ways – for example 123, 132, 213, 231, 312 and 321.

If you play a combo, this makes a difference to the cost of playing. If you play an Any Order play, or an Exact/Any, the potential payout Is higher for 3-Way plays than 6-Way plays, because prizes are always linked to odds.

Prizes

Go to the Prizes page to see all the different payouts that are available in Cash 3, along with the odds of winning for each play type. The top prize is $500, but to win you have to select a $1 Exact Order play and match all three numbers in the correct places.
