Wild Ball

As part of every Cash 3 drawing, the Tennessee Lottery selects a Wild Ball from 0 to 9. This is a special number as it can take the place of any of the three other digits that have been drawn.

It therefore creates three new combinations, which could give you a win (or more than one), even if you miss out on a prize in the base game. What’s more, the Wild Ball is really easy to add to your ticket.

How to Play

The Wild Ball is not automatically included on your ticket, so you just need to mark ‘Yes’ in the relevant section on your playslip or request the option from the retailer.

You don’t have to do anything else such as pick an extra number. Keep in mind that adding the Wild Ball doubles the cost of your play.

How to Win

The Wild Ball can help you win prizes with any play type. It can be swapped in for any of the three main winning numbers, and if any of these new combinations fit in with your selections, you are eligible for a prize. The numbers on your ticket never change.

For example, if you pick the numbers 111 as an Exact Order play, and the numbers drawn are 112, this would not give you a win in the base game. However, if the Wild Ball is 1, this can just replace the 2 to give you a winning combo.

It is possible to get multiple wins with the Wild Ball on one play. You can win Wild Ball prizes on top of payouts won in the base game, or separately. Here are some more examples of how you can win with the Wild Ball.

The Wild Ball feature was introduced in Tennessee in place of a previous feature known as Lucky Sum. That feature is no longer available.
